Jack's Harley Story
Share
Growing up Jack’s first memories were with his dad at Churchill Downs Race Track. Jack’s dad had a horse racing farm and spent many days as a kid around barns, stables and racetracks. Growing up racing and motorcycles were always around. Being born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky, Nicky Hayden a MotoGP legend, had a massive impact on the local area and his childhood. A childhood friend of the family owned a Harley Street Glide Ultra and would ride by the house on his way to work. Hearing the sound of the bike coming down the street, Jack would run down the driveway to greet his friend. From an early age the desire to ride a "Big bike" as Jack used to call it, was set in stone. Before age 10 Jack was riding a Blue Mongoose BMX bike all over the rolling hills of rural Kentucky.
Jack's Parents, Peter and Colleen are medical professionals and have seen plenty of motorcycle accidents so this desire to ride always was a sticking point growing up. His friend Anthony had small dirt bikes and Jack used to spend the night and have sleepovers always wanting to ride his friends bikes. One night his mom found out that Jack was trying to ride the bigger dirt bike with Anthony, somehow word made it back to Coleen. Jack would get grounded for a week or two and after the smoke blew over somehow managed to convince his mom and dad to let the sleepovers continue. (That also meant the unapproved riding countiuned)
After a move to Las Vegas to reconnect with family, Jack's riding journey would take a pause. Spending a few years playing baseball and pursuing interests in photography would eventually lead to some classes at UNLV.
Riding motorcycles would eventually come around again.
Photo and Video would eventually lead Jack to Instagram where he came across the Harley Bobber community. Very quickly Jack fell in love with the idea of building a Sportster bobber. There was a few problems though. Number 1, How would Jack explain to his very nervous parents that he wanted to learn how to ride a Harley? Number 2, at 20-21 years old, Jack didn't have much money or credit to buy a motorcycle.
So refusing to be defeated, Jack got to work. He founded a Pool Services Business and within the first year of business, Jack was able to earn and save enough to afford a Sportster 1200...part 2 coming soon!
